    Dear TW,

will there be 4 3/8 and 4 1/4 grip sizes available again in any foreseeable future?

    Thanks, Max

    Spencer,

Did you guys have any idea these would sell so quickly? I know it's considered a classic (to say the least), but still...these things are flying off the racks.

Of course they did. Or else they wouldn't have bothered to convince Wilson to bring it back.

I'd like to know this as well. If not, how many more batches can be expected?

You do realize these are made "to order", TW and others have to commit to purchase a certain number of sticks. TW was the only one to do this - but as long as the demand is there Wilson so far willing to provide ltd runs. I'm told the profit margin on these really bite as the cost price much higher than current production frames. And with margins in the tennis industry so bad anyway it was a nogo for the other 2 major online retailers. Wilson shopped them to all the major retailers - hell if they wanted ***** or Sprts Authority could order thousands of these things.

If they fly off the shelves like the last two batches, I'd expect TW to place another order with Wilson.

Retailers like TW are able to fill the niche market that is looking for these frames.

But, there is no guarantee, especially that Wilson is looking to produce BLX 90s, 95s, and 100s next year at $200 a pop.

I still enjoy the fact that Wilson is keeping their tradition alive. Some iteration of the frame has been out for almost 27 years now......that hasn't happened since the Wilson's Jack Kramer Autograph and the Dunlop Maxply Fort.

Yeah Wilson might not make as much money as a current frame, but the thing is, as with other frames that sell TW will still make money on peripherals....strings, grip, lead tape, headbands, etc. As will Wilson should people choose to buy more Pro Overgrip, Pro Feel dampeners, Champion's Choice string, etc.

wilson's margin probably isn't impacted much. i think the margin is slim for TW on the SMU sticks.

From what I've heard, minimum order from Wilson was 1000 racquets.

    Maxpotapov,

This is not our last batch. We will have another batch coming in late November, early December.

    Dear Santa,

Can I have one for Christmas?

If I do my homework and keep my room clean and eat my veggies, would you please make it two. In case you do, please ensure they are matched in weight and balance. BTW, don't forget the extra set of grommets. And just in case you don't know, these play really well when strung with 17g natural gut. I should also mention that Babolat VS Team is the best natural gut.

I live in Vancouver and UPS puts a brokerage fee on them , I think its $40 so it can get expensive, I ordered mine and had them shipped to Blaine ,( shipping is free) will take my chances that they will not charge at the border. It is usually never an issue will let you know outcome
