Just bought one off a seller here and it arrived today. Looks legit (red primer), white buttcap with AOQ code. No hologram (though I understand early St Vincent's don't have the hologram). It's a 4 5/8 (L5) grip.

But it only weighs 11.8 ounces. Is this normal?

Will post pics later upon request.

The spec range listed on Chicago and early-mid SVs had the stickers that said:

    Weight unstrung 11.6-12.1 ounces
    Balance 1.0-1.5 in. headlight

    FWIW......

    Some pics would be nice.

Does your SV have the original Fairway leather grip?

    thanks for that info VGP

will post pics soon - yep still has fairway leather.

incidentally, the grommets are in really bad shape and one of them is missing. Is it easy to find replacement grommets that are compatible?

No, replacement grommets are hard to find.

Your best bet might be to cut up another grommet set to fit.

I heard that most of the holes of the grommets of the China PS85 model do line up with the SV model. Thus, you can cut the strip where misalignment of hole occurs.
