does anyone know if there is pro stock string that is only available to top pros.

i have heard that rafa is using a 15gg that is not available, is it the same product just thicker or is there "special sauce" involved?

    thanks

I thought we cleared this up.
    Its Prince Stoplight 15g.
Very tough to find, but man it’s a sweet ride.

Luxilon provided pro stock strings to top players.

Have sticker with "Sponsored players only".

Two slam champions I have strung for provided their Babolat nattie in plain plastic packages with coding info stickers attached to the bags. In both cases, the gut was as "clean" as I've ever seen...very clear and exceptionally consistent texture...to me, the ultimate definition of "top shelf".

I also remember that Jim Courier used cheap Nylon strings back in the day

Courier was a Wilson contract player who liked their original syn gut made by Gosen with a Wilson stamp on it. When Wilson began sourcing their syn gut from Taiwan instead of the Gosen Japanese manufacturing, his agents signed a deal with Gosen to make OG Sheep Micro JC. It was the same string but made to a much tighter spec. As part of the deal, Gosen was allowed to market the tighter-spec stock to distributors and pro shops here in the US. Hence, the addition of the JC initials to the original product name. The closest current product in their line is the OG Sheep Micro Super, IMO one of the best syn guts sold today.
