    It seems like your time for 10 swings is wrong. 12 sec is too fast IMO.

    I agree. I would guess you should be close to 14 seconds for 10 swings. Reread the instructions and make sure you are not missing a swing in the beginning by counting 1 at the starting point instead of 0.
