Progressions to teach the Slice Serve, please can someone post them.

    I am trying to teach a 10 year old the slice serve. Can someone please post the progressions.

    No progression, the slice is just a chop-brush stroke taking off pace so it arcs into the court more often. The resultant curve of the ball is just a aftereffect, the main purpose is to slow the ballspeed so it arcs into the court.
    Since most 10 year olds don't have excessive pace on their serves, they might not embrace the idea of hitting the ball slower than it already goes
    If you want him to hit it, for now, shift his service grip more towards continental or EBH depending where he is right now. Swing faster!
