    New vs Old 5g

I had both versions. The newer version is a bit stiffer than the old. I confirmed this with PK customer service back in 2004. Hope this helps.

    New vs Old 5g

IMHO, the old version was better because it was more comfortable for my elbow. The new version was lighter and stiffer. My elbow actually hurt a bit after using it. Both racquets had the same setup. Tecnifibre NRG2-17 strung at mid tension. 4gms of lead at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions and several layers of gamma head tape around the hoop between the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. The resultant weight if I recall was 12.5 oz. and a balance of -5pts. There was definitely more pop using the newer version, but it certainly was not worth the elbow pain I experienced.

    Hope this helps.
