pros diving volleys

    hey guys i know many players do this from time to time,
    is there a way to learn how to do it? so you just throw yourself?
    any help is appreciated, i would love to learn

    Haha... Roddick comes to my mind when this type of shot is mentioned. I suppose you just know when to do it? It's probably instinct, I suppose.

    1) It is not worth it unless you are pro and getting paid to win :)
    2) Do not dive on hard courts .. duh.. :)
    3) if you absolutely want to practice, go to a beach and have someone feed you volleys in the soft sand.

    Also, diving comes naturally in the heat of the moment. you either have that natural ability or you do not.. For most tennis players, lunging will suffice.

    You shouldn't attempt this. Land on the wrong parts of your body and you're screwed. Not many pros do this and if they do it's usually on grass courts where the surface is softer.

    Just don't do it. A diving volley isn't shot you need to play at higher levels.
