Now the babolat pure drive and aero drive is the most used by pros. These racquets are a little on the light side for pros. What and WHERE do the pros attach the lead tapes on.
    Andy Roddick
    Rafael Nadal
    Lubricic

We know that Nadal puts 15g under the bumper guard and 5g in the butt.

And if Babolat is not lying, then Roddick's racquet has about 17g of lead. I estimate from pictures that he has about 5 g at 3 and 9. Since his tension is high, the other 12g are probably concentrated at the top of the handle to maximize power, roughly 7" to 8" from the butt.

I don't know any details about Ljubicic's setup.

  3. Wrong! Roddick's frames generally have more than 5g lead tape at 3/9. In a couple close-ups pics, tapered lead tape can be seen = more than one layer. From your posts, another thing that you seem to be missing is the fact that each particular frame needs a different amount of lead tape and in different locations. You're just always going by average retail specs. Even if you can make a program where you can punch in a frame's starting specs and finished specs and it will tell you how much mass is needed and where, you'll still be out of the loop when you don't know the starting specs.

Babolat not lying? Are you talking about the PD Roddick? If so, why would Babolat release a frame to amateurs that is set up to hit the same shots encountered by a pro? Doesn't Babolat know it's easier for players to add mass than it is to decrease?

    Your how-to-set-up-a-frame-like-an-ATP Tour-pro post was insightful though--thanks.

Its strange to me that the pros that use aero drive (Nadal) and other PD users wont switch to different players racquets. If babolat pd and aero gives such arm pains or problems and its too light for pros, why won't they just use other ACTUAL PLAYER frames?
