Back in '92, Courier used cheap Wilson Synthetic Gut in his ProStaff 6.0s, strung high. Don't know when he switched to something else later on.

For a short time, Carlos Moya used Babolat Ballistic Polymono, but switched back to BBO. This was ~2001-2002.

Intellitour is not a cheap string. It combines two of the best strings that money can buy, (VS gut aside). It's actually Rip-control and Iso Speed Professional. Not cheap, but a fantastic combination.
