Pros who use the PDR or the Pure Control?

I'd be interested to learn who in the pro game uses either of these Bab frames?

I seem to recall the PC was fairly popular a few years back (F. Gonzales being one prominant if controversial PC user.) Now though, I'm just wondering if the newer frames (PST, Aero Storm, etc) have made inroads and that the PC is less popular?

As regards the PDR, do pros really use Arod's signature racket? I mean, just like some of us regular players, wouldn't they have 'issues' playing with such a signature frame? Anyway, I'm curious... any pros actually wield the PDR?

Thanks,

R.

the pure drive roddick is the same frame as the regular pure drive other than the weight is more and its more head light. most pros will have there rackets weighted any way so i would imagine they would use a pure drive and then have them weighted and balance to there liking.

Ross,

you have to remember that Babolat replaced the PC with the PST. Thus, a lot of pros who have previously used the PC have switched to the PST or a paintjob

"Issues" playing with a "signature" frame??? When I started playing this game a lot of pros and a lot of recreational players used a racquet with Jack Kramer's signature on it....nobody seemed to mind, remarkably enough. (Others used racquets with the name Pancho Gonzalez, Stan Smith, Margaret Court, and others on them). Are you self-conscious about such things? (You started a thread last week that also concerned being self-conscious about not using a traditional-style players' racquet).

^Yep.

Most (if not all) of the pros you see using Pure Storm Tour paintjobs are using the PC...alot of the PC users also use the plus 27.5. Im sure there are players using the PC under other paint also..

As for the PDR...I would say no. Roddick does not even use it himself!

Cheers Nick (if true that no-one including ARod uses the PDR, that's funny:)) and to deflori too... ollinger, I've no idea what you're getting weird about. I was simply curious, and indeed slightly skeptical, about the popularity of the PDR among the pros. (BTW, I think Nick answered that Q.)

At last check I can confirm all of these. Also, at least recently, Benjamin Becker, Falla, Dabul, Hernych, Bastl, Warburg, Scoville Jenkins, Todd Widom, and Brian Baker, too. And before their retirements, Michael Joyce (now coaching), Kenneth Carlsen and Justin Gimelstob.

Pretty sure Odesnik is not using a Pure Drive, he's using the new one. He started using it in October and Babolat is making it harder for some of their players to get discontinued models. Also, Odesnik picked up Babolat on his own, so I don't think they were very inclined to help him out at first (I hope they are now).

Bobby Reynolds uses the Pure Drive.

Becker, Warburg racquet all looks like PST, whether or not they are PJ or not. Warburg is also the plus version.

Jenkins still uses the PC, no paint
