What is the best string tension for this racquet?
Also, do you guys play this stock or customized?
I had good success with the PT 280 strung with Lux Timo 17g at 53 lbs. Also played with the PT630 strung with Gamma Syn gut 18g at 50 lbs, which played great. I played the PT280 /630 stock, no extra weight added, an overgrip with no damper
I play my PT280 stock with Gosen Micro @ 58 lbs... also tried a poly at over 60 lbs which sucked.
i have a pt280 thats strung at 62, i DO NOT recommend this!!! i did it by mistake because im used to my slazengers at that tension and i just got the PT 280. I'm going to try ALU at 58ish next time.
I love soft strings at low tension in frames that are flexible - so I always strung my Pro Tours at 44 pounds. I find that it gives a great feel for the ball.
In that tight of string pattern you might want to drop the ALU tension a bit farther like 54. ALU at 58 it will feel like a board in your PT280
One of my frequent hitting partners is 6'4" 225. He hits harder than anyone I've ever met. It's not too much fun, you just have to play defense all the time. He strings his 280s with poly at get this, 70 lb. I just would swing so hard.

this was an original made in Austria Head Pro Tour 280 which is very different than the chinese prestrung Pro Tour 280 that are available here and there, too bad I missed out on that auction, with LM CAP's it would be a PT630
