I'm looking for courts with lights to play on. I live in the south bay area (downtown San Jose) of California. There are the courts next to the pavilion, but the constant noise from planes flying over and freeway cars makes playing hard. What are some other places that have lit courts?

    Thanks.

I don't live in that area... however, the company I work for is headquartered in San Jose, and I make business trips down there several times a year.

I have hit with one of my co-workers several times at a local junior college. I wasn't sure which school it was, but after a quick look on the web, I'm pretty sure it was Mission College in Santa Clara. The have 8 lighted tennis courts, all in very good condition. Every time I've gone there, it was free and we were able to get a court quickly... but maybe we were just lucky.

    Here's the website:

Yeah, mission college has very nice courts, and the lights are good but not great. You should void to go there on Tuesday and Thursday, because the courts are always pack and they won't be availabe at leat until 10 pm. Monday night is good because no one is really there. I am not sure for the rest of the week.
You can also try Everygreen college, and it has better light than mission college. I think you have to pay $10/semester or $40/year or something like that in order to have access to turn on the lights.

    Have fun.
