I'm a fan of the Puma Super and others from the same mold. Missing in the picture are my Puma Topstar and Winners.

    From left to right:

    Puma Davis Cup
    Puma Super
    Estusa Power Beam Braided
Estusa Provantech (?) ((Can't seem to remember the name...))
    Estusa Provantech (?) JR

Ah, the BB Super. No red paint on any racquet looks quite as vibrant as the Super's red does in the sunlight. :)

Nice Frames,Dino! the second from the right seems to be the initial version of the Estusa ProVantech PB, Boris refused to play with that stick because he didn't like the color scheme, then they repainted the frame with the normal blue and red just like the Puma BB Winner.

True, it's really a sweet looking racquet. A favorite of mine, as is the more unusual Davis Cup that's also in the picture.

Thanks, Cesare! Yeah, I've been looking for that ProVantech for a long time, and finally got one from a compatriot of yours. :) BTW, the Winner is silver and red, while the Super is blue and red.

so i played the winner, never the super but the one pictured
looks to have the original grommets (the flarred/rolled ones).

i never considered it back then, but what was/is the deal with replacing those? haha.

looks like the estusa versions have a "typical" looking grommet set with no flares. ?

Great racquet finds. I love the graphics on these. I bet they hit really nice as well.

Yeah, nice combo; good looks and good feel. :)

I had been looking for a ProVantech for so long, so that one will always be special for me, but my favorite of the lot is the Davis Cup.

Those ProVantech frames look like they were designed by a ska enthusiast.

    Dino:

Does your Puma Super have any free play in the handle (PCS system)? Mine has a lot of free play and the length keeps changing all the time as a result. Is there any fix for this problem?

    Thanks!

I briefly played with these racquets in the early 1990s. I used Super Glue on the screw to keep the grip secured just below where the upper part of the grip met the box graphics. This worked very well.

    Thanks, I agree. :)

No, it doesn't, but I think Mike's solution seems to be good.

I bought one brand new, with plastic on the handle, and I'm having trouble to find any info about it, because there is nothing on the frame itself.

Thanks zapvor, I'm glad you like it! :)

BTW, I have added quite a few racquets to my collection lately, but have been a little slow adding them to my log here.

    Nope, not yet I'm afraid.

    Accurate observation.

I've changed it to the correct conversion, 12.28 oz, in the original post.
