What are some songs you listen to be pumped-up before a match??? Also, if you dont listen to music, what else do you do.

    thanks in advance

Eminem, Metallica, other up-beat songs will help.

I listen to NPR to get my mind OFF tennis... otherwise I get too amped and become tense.

Well, I'm embarassed to admit it, but I've been known to watch "Braveheart" the night before a match.

Usually I am too excited/nervous before a match, so I listen to some of my favorite stuff, usually The Beatles, Coldplay, or Dave Matthews. I don't really think it works but whatever.

For some reason, nothing gets me up for a tough match quite like listening to the 'Brady Bunch' theme song.

Nothing gets me pumped up like Eye of the Tiger. You can't beat the Rocky soundtrack.

Hmm NPR may get me pissed off depending on what segment is on. I'll start playing angry tennis.

I really don't listen to music before a match. I usually have to drive 20-30 minutes to a match I usually think of strategy and game plan.

I like to listen to Reggaeton or Hip hop while reviewing my game plan on the way to my match. BTW, my favorite Rocky soundtrack is part 4.

NPR- to liberal for my taste

You guys that bash NPR...that's fine, not for everyone--but it's not allllllll politics. On weekends it's mostly entertainment. Sat mornings around here you have fun shows like Car Talk, Wait Wait Don't Tell me (trivia/news questions show), Whadya Know? (trivia), Motley Fool (financial), etc... that's usually what I listen to, to get a laugh or think about something lighthearted.

If it's music time I turn my Sirius to the electronica channels, or throw on my favorites... Badly Drawn Boy, Travis, or New Order. If I'm *really* feeling pissed off and obnoxious and want to stay that way, I'd go w/ Oasis.

i'm too tense, so i just try to relax before a match. as for a particular type of music, i'll just listen to whatever is in my mp3 player at that moment. it can range from reggae to hip-hop to electronica to jazz to classical.

hummer23 or ffrpg or anyone else who knows, what is the name of the rocky soundtrack if I was to look for it in a supermart? Is it simply "Rocky the soundtrack"? I really want that album.
