I was thinking the same. Anyways I hope the new pure
Control is just like the old 2000s version with a stiff/solid feel.

Please, tell me something if you know. Is there anything similar to the Ltd. but in a more open pattern in that line?

Very cool. Got to hit with the racket the other day. There was also another 16x19 one I got to try out that was blacked out but with red grommets. The one you pictured I didn't love. The other with the red grommets I could get used to... a TON of power but weighted pretty similarly to my pure storm tour. One had some lead on it but no idea how much. Red grommet one sounded HORRIBLE without a dampner... not a "ping" sound but a "gong" type sound. The guy hitting on the same side as me was shocked at the first hit too.

Beams on both were about the same as my pst... if anything a mm thicker... but my eyes aren't rulers so who knows. No idea what either was strung at... but compared to my pst strung with rpm 16g @ 58lbs (probably loose as it's been a couple weeks and hits) power was night and day. It was easy to adjust to the extra power, but seemed like i had to provide a lot more control than I wanted to... and I just had to be so precise. Definitely weird, but cool. When I switched back to my racket I couldn't get the ball over the net for the next two forehands... power was that different with where i needed to aim and plow through vs spin i needed to provide.

Overall, pretty excited about a new line. They should keep the matte black scheme... it was the sickest (in a good way) looking racket i've seen in a loooong time. Pretty interesting about the 16x19 pattern.... mold on both seemed pretty similar to my pst as well.

might as well get rid of the only babolat stick I have ever liked, awesome..

    I can't believe they aren't offering a single racquet under 98-100.

Friend of mine has a sponsership with Babolat. Babolat sent a new racket due to come out in 2014. not quite sure which racket its gonna be because of prototype paintjob, but had same features of the pure storm. fells just like a pure storm as well.

Guys, "cortex," active or otherwise, is a figment of Baboat's marketing depart. The difference is in the overall racquet construction.
