Is it true that the new one is identical to the 2009 one? I just demoed the new one; damn, I loved it. Absolutely loved it. Granted I'm a total racquet ***** who's in the process of building up a pretty nice collection of used racquets. But anyway, why the new racquet two years later by Babolat if the specs are the same? Was the paintjob on the 2009 that bad? Or is this a common practice?

I have the 2009 and 2010 versions of the Pure Storm - I really can't feel any difference, but I love the rackets - best I've ever had and I've tried just about everything out there.

I demoed the heavier versions and decided to stay with the 11 oz. version with the 98" head, plays amazing well.

Well, even the GOAT (pistol pete) used this frame recently.. Then this frame must be the GOAT of racquets :)

It´s a very nice frame. I have the 2009 version and waiting for the 2011 version , or 2011 paintjob so to say..

    1st PST was lighter?

Ah, but here's the thing that interests me... you know the very first PST, the 'carbon x-treme' with predominantly black (and red/silver) cosmetics... wasn't this first version actually a good bit lighter than the versions which came after? Can anyone confirm (or deny) this? Anything else on the differences between the first and latter versions as well, though the weight issue interests me the most.

    TIA

No, it was exactly the same weight. It was soft in the throat and stiffer at the tip, whereas the new one is quite uniformly stiff.

It could be one of the following reasons:
    1. The racquet has gained wide acceptance. Thus, the need to change is not necessary.
    2. R&D is behind or need more time to come up with something new or revolutionary.

    this confuses me ..

there are 2 versions of pure storm tour gts available one with 2009 and one without the year just saying "pure storm tour gt"

and the big thing is both frames have different results Oo

what do u think of this?

The PSTGT is GrOATy, just an amazing stick. I believe the 09 and 10 models are identical. I heard that straight from a Bab rep.

They are. Don't even worry about that. If you can find 09's on sale, that is the way to go.

This frame is amazing. I have demoed over 20 frames and so far this is my racquet of choice. It offers great stability, plow thru, control, and comfort.
