So I've been messing around with lead in my ypp's and last night i decided to take off all the lead that i had used to balance them (6 racquets) and change the grommets and replace the synthetic grips with leather. 2 are still strung, so i just lifted the cap grommet and removed the lead tape and removed the tape from the handle and rewraped the grip. 1 of the racquets i bought new off of tw 2 years ago and the other 5 i bought as used demos off of tw.

Now i remember when i got them they were all a little off in weight and balance so i did my best to balance them and ended up at ~339g with at 6 pt hl strung with synthetic grip and overgrip.

The two that are still strung and have synthetic grip are ~325. when the strings break i will strip them down as well to get their "naked" weight.

Between the 4 that were stripped down, 2 came in at 262g and the other 2 came in at 272g. Is this normal?

I was looking at the racquets and the only thing i could see that was different was the markings on the pallet. the heavier ones had tk84(? i forget lol) sketched in in chicken scratch and one of the light ones was marked cleaner (like a stencil or stamp). The other light one was actually bought as a 3/8's so i asked Jolly to have his stringer replace the pallet with a 1/2 to match the other ones. the pallet is a lighter color but i remember this racquet being lighter than spec anyway (never put lead on it because i had always planned on swapping out the pallet).

the serial numbers are all pretty close; only the last three digits are different and maybe off by only 100 or 200 between all 6. Do they make these in different places, which would explain the rather remarkable similarities in the difference in weights?

i will add a ton of pictures tonight when i get home to document everything i've said.

Did Jolly's stringer put a grey pallet on your frame?

No. The grey ones are Austrian Pallets.
