This is why I like the RPM Blast 17 gauge as cross string in hybrid with VS Team 17 nat gut mains in my Pure drive GT Anni racquets :)

The Alu Power almost provides too much power in this particular hybrid in this racquet.........

Agree,,clubho. VS gut gives it that little more Ump or Pop that RPM lacks. and you still get the Great spin production from RPM. that should work but it gets little expensive if you ask me....

Sorry, if this has been asked before, but Querrey hybrids Lux with Gut, correct? I believe that I have seen some footage of him carrying Gut in his bag before...

I think he uses the Pacific tough gut for crosses.

No, you're wrong, I checked, it's Babolat http://www.tennischannel.com/video/ check out this link and follow it to the bag checks, and click on Sam's they clearly say Babolat VS. Haha, I answered my own question, I just couldn't figue out where to find the video...

But you break string faster than me - so it's more expensive for you.

I play eastern-semi western forehand and eastern-semi western backhand with moderate amount of spin, so VS Team 17 mains and RPM Blast 17 crosses last me 10 hours in my new Pure Drive GT Anniversary racquets :)

I play 4 hours a week, so 2 newly strung VS Team/RPM Blast PD GT Anni racquets will last me a good month and that's fine for me and my budget :D

Well, gosh if Querrey isn't using it then I refuse to use it too.

I only use what Sam uses since he is the future GrassGoat(tm).

That video is old. He uses full ALU POWER now.

He used to use a Pacific poly and natural gut.

Yes. he's back to full ALU, after using a full job of black poly (who's to say it's no prince's black string? I mean, it would make sense to be using that stuff, since it would be free, than to pay extra for the RPM, which costs more than ALU. I'm assuming prince talked him into using the black prince poly, and he didn't like it well enough, so since switched back. RPM is just not really any better, IMHO, than ALU)

Where is the confirmation from Querey that He was using RPM Blast?
How many black strings are there?
RPM Blast is a control/spin oriented, for people who swing really hard ad have long swing.
Even though I think there are better strings and Querrey doesn't need that string ,if it was the case, because He is a flat hitter.

There was alot of talk from the tourney stringers on the Grand slam stringers sight earlier in the year that Querry had switched to RPM back in Feb or so: about the time of the Memphis Indoor. His strings were labeled with the same code that TW sent out to testers here.

Off topic again, but is his Racket extended? It appears to be based on the pics...

no. you're not. They tried to get used to it, since it's FREE, but they felt they'd rather pay full price for Luxilon than ruin their game for free string..

Please, oh please, use your head.

That's why some of the pros still use the strings. Others, were obviously not impressed and swtiched back to their old strings...

This stuff is garbage. Alu Power is 200% better IMO. I hated RPM so much I cut it out before it even had the chance to lose tension.
