Who do you think, in the long run, will have the most successful career and better represent US Tennis, Donald Young or Sam Querry?
I think Young, when he hits a growth spurt and his body grows into his game, may be the more successful of the two, but Querry has hit the ground running and has had a pretty successful first season thus far.

First off, it's Querrey. Secondly, Sam has more of a chance because he actually has won ATP-level sets. He even took a set off Blake at the PLO.

I'm just wondering if the losing experiences for young might propel him in about two years. Querry and Young are about two years apart, it will be interesting to see what the next two years hold for Young.

Querrey. He has already won more matches on the pro level (ok challengers) than Young may ever win. Big serve and blistering forehand all point toward Querrey. Young will be another top ranked junior who can't make the jump to the pros.

That's exactly how I feel. 2 years is a major difference! Your game and your body can really change within 2 years.

It depends on how big and strong can Young physically attain in the next 2 years.

From what i've seen from Querrey i'm impressed. He has weapons and possibly a big future when he matures in a few more years.

Donald Young is my age and my height. His parents are about the same height as my parents. If he gets a growth spurt, then I sure hope I do.

But, let's be realistic. He's 17 and does not seem to have been blessed with tall genes, how much taller can he get? At his age (and height), players like Hewitt and Chang had already won ATP-level titles.

its not his size that kills young. its the way he plays. he has alot of touch but the way tennis is now power is needed. hes a finnese player who tries to hit volleys from behind the service line and just has trouble ending points. Stop blaming size for his loses. If rochus can win at 5'5" then whats wrong with young.

Sam's showing way better skills than DY. Young's still playing a junior game struggling with future tournaments.
