I've been searching the internet for the right number to call but haven't been able to find it and I'm leaving tomorrow on a Delta flight to Florida. Anyway, i just wanted to know if i can bring both a notebook computer and my racquet bags as carry-on items since ill be in Florida for 2-weeks and can't survive without them. If i can only bring one i have to choose the racquets because im going to summer tennis academy/camp for 2 weeks. One more thing, if i place the computer case inside the tennis bag does that count as only 1 carry-on item?

Yes--you can consolidate items into one bag, and it only counts as one.

you can only bring a certain size bag on as a carry on, and I don't know whether or not a tennis bag would meet such requirements-- If worse comes to worse, check the tennis bag, and keep your notebook.

I know on Continental flights you can bring one bag and one "personal item" which is a laptop, pocketbook, etc. Not sure about Delta, but it's most likely the same policy.

Well I can tell you that never been a problem in business class taking racquets. On tourist class I was once declined of taking the bag.

One solution is that you just take racquets out of the bag, and carry them seperately.

I have carried a tennis bag(2-3 frame size) and also a backpack on delta flights. Put the tennis bag in the overhead and then put the other bag under the seat infront of you. I believe you are allowed one carry one(the tennis bag) and one personal item(the notebook).
