I've been using Technifibre NRG2 18 in a 16/19 at 60lb for a few months, like it, but they fray a bunch before they break (about 40 hours or so) and I'm wondering if the fraying affects the string's bite at all. Should I play it until it breaks or get fresh strings when they're hairy? I've got more NRG2 on the way, am playing Gamma TNT2 18 in one racquet, and I ordered some Head Rip Control 17L to try. The TNT2 feels pretty close, does it fray as much as NRG2? I really liked Lux Ace 18, and do want to stay with a low powered string but the cost of restringing every 20-25 hours is forcing me to look around.
