I am demo'ing the Speed MP, and have 1 overgrip over it. It's 1/2 size, but it feels much larger compared to any other racket I've ever used with a 1/2 size + 1 overgrip.

Is this the racket, or something Head does?

I have a Babolot PS Tour with 1/2 + 1 over, and it doesn't feel as big as this Speed MP with same specs.

    It's the grip shape.
Head grips tend to be more "rectangular". Meaning, the wide bevels would be a bit more wider than standard grips, such as Wilson and Babolat.

Ah, so should I go to 3/8 or is it more mental?

^ I always solved this by re-wrapping (along the same bevels) the grip extra tight... stretching it.... the same with the OG... extra tight.

Worked out fine. Just be careful not to wrap it too tight... it might end up smaller than anticipated. Also, it gives syn. grip a nice leather type feel w/ an OG on... harder...not soft at all.
