I'm interested in buying a reel of Wilson stamina 17 (660' ) instead of buying individual packs of string...

How many racquets can I string with a reel? I'm guessing approx. 18, Is that correct?

If I don't string racquets often (maybe 2 or 3 frames per month), is it worth getting the whole reel?

Will the string stay "fresh" if I use the reel of string as opposed to individually sealed packs? WIll this "freshness" make an impact on playability/durability??

    Thanks.

    Freshness shouldn't be an issue.

always worth getting a reel over individual packs. if you measure how much string you need for your racquet with minimal waste you can get approx 18 string jobs on a reel (maybe 1 more or 1 less). compare the cost of the reel to 18 individual packs.

as LTG stated, freshness isn't an issue with synthetics like stamina. there is nothing to "dry" out (like some multis or gut)

Also, a reel is good if you want to try hybrids. Stamina makes a good cross string in poly/synth and in multi/synth hybrids.
