i usually get my racket strung at 16g but this time i got it 17g, both times at 54lbs w/ wilson sensation. i dunno if its the string job but shots especially on forehand side were flying a little bit as if strings were looser. so should i be stringing it tighter if at a higher gauge or was it just the string job?

Was it strung by the same person and/or the same machine?

Thinner strings can have a tad bit more power, so you can try going up a pound or 2.

Going from 16 to 17 isnt to huge though, I went from 17(1.25) to 1.10 and went up 3 pounds in tension.
