So, I was stringing it on a dropweight this weekend, and while tensioning the dropweight would no go down to parallel? How do you guys do this to similar types of strings? I mean for me, I just redid it and let loose some string, enough to bring it down to parallel. But is this usually how it is?

I haven't strung kevlar, but I imagine it is similar to stringing poly: start with the bar down, and until you get a feel for how high to raise it, don't raise it too much.

Kevlar stretches less than any other string so you should start with the bar down and lift it just past level until you get the hang of how much it takes to go down to level.

    Start with the bar down.
