Hey guys, i am having a few problems with this racquet... i got it strung at the shop where i bought it with just basic Klip Syn Gut... its the one thats only 3.99.... and i am finding it very hard on the arm and i am getting no power or pop off it whatsoever.

i am thinking of cutting it before the season starts and going to my coach for the string i normally use... i am thinking of getting 56 tension... the racquets specifics say 55-65.... so what will the ramifications of a 56 strung racquet be? will this mean it will break easier??

i am pretty sure the guy at the shop strung it at 60 which seems way too tight for me... guys i really need some advice as the current string feels so heavy on my arm and real tight.

no, string usually last longer at lower tensions in my knowledge.

do you guys think the higher tension of 60 is why i am finding the racquet a bit dead when i strike the ball? it seems to have no pop...

or would it be the string its only the cheap klip syn gut worth 3.99.

    thanks guys

I'd try the 55 - 58 range. I think 60 and north is where it starts getting boardy.

The other thing you should probably do is get the crosses strung 5% less than the mains. I can string my RDX 500 mid at 62/59 and it feels find. 60/60 feels stiff and has no pop. I think what you're feeling is a combination of the mid range tension being a little to tight, and the mismatch in give between the mains and crosses. Try something like 57/54.
