    Happy Holidays Chris:

There is pretty much no feedback, data or info on this new Gosen offering. I think I heard you refer to this string when doing a racket review. If you have any experience with this string, could you please share your insights with us. What would it compare to? Tension recommendations ? Thanks so much and I really enjoy all your reviews.

    Regards,
    Steve

I've hit the Polylon, Polylon Comfort and Polybreak. I'll hit the Poly Professional and report back next week.

    Hi Chris,

Can you compare Polyon Comfort to Polybreak? I love Polybreak but since you don't carry it in reels I wonder if this might be a viable alternative? Is there any possibility of carrying Polybreak reels in the near future?

They are pretty similar even though they have a different construction. Polylon Comfort is pretty soft considering it is a true monofilament and is very similar in stiffness to Polybreak despite Polybreak having multiple strands in its core.

I find Comfort to be a tad crisper whereas Polybreak is a tad more muted. However, my access to pace, spin and control is pretty similar between the two. I can switch between them without any issues.

Polybreak is available in reels but we currently don't offer them. The 18 gauge comes in white only, the 17 in white or black. If you would like a reel(s) let me know and I can see if we can get it in for you?

    Cheers,
    Chris, TW

I got out and hit Polylon Pro today. I had it strung at 52lbs in a PB10 Mid. The string felt crisp, low powered and decently spin-friendly. I would likely drop tension to 48lbs to increase pop and get a tad softer response and deeper ball pocket from it on a subsequent stringing.

The string played better and better as it bedded in and I think I'll like it more and more as the tension drops slightly. I felt like I could take a big cut at the ball without fear of hitting long and really enjoyed the control. The response was on the firm side and very, very predictable -- much like Polylon.

Hope that helps and I'll be hitting more with it next week (especially since it felt good to be back on court with the PB10 Mid!).

    Cheers,
    Chris, TW

    Chris,

Thanks so much for the super fast response. Sounds like a string that would suit my needs and I have a set of the 17G coming today. Great job as usual. TW is very lucky to have a fine person working in their organization.

    Happy Hitting..

Thanks Chris for the quick response! I am going to order a couple of sets of comfort to try first to compare with Polybreak but I will likely take you up on the offer to track down a reel for me. It is service like this that keeps me coming back to TW. You guys are the best!!
