Do you fellows know what the overall pressure on frame from regular string job would normally be? I read posts where some states that if a string job is at 60# tension, then the pressure of the mains on the frame is 60x# of mains. So 60x16=960 pounds. On the surface, this does not seem reasonable at all that the frame can support 1/2 ton without collapsing. I estimate the overall force to be in the 70-90 pounds range for the mains, but it's based on assumptions. Could be 50% higher. Would the manufacturers know if you fellows don't know?
