Do you consider compression shorts an undergarment? Isn't wearing underwear under your skorts and compression shorts like wearing 2 pairs of underwear? I'm curious because I was surprised to find out that some of the women that I play with don't think that compression shorts are undergarments. I thought I'd check with some other tennis players out there.

Nope. Wear regular cotton panties under compression shorts or a skirt with attached shorts.

Ok, I guess I’ll only get one response. I was curious because this topic came up recently at one of my social matches. To me (and the clothing manufacturers) compression shorts areunderwear, so I don’t get the doubling up. Most compression shorts are constructed the same as underwear and are made of fabrics that wick moisture and dry quickly……which is exactly what you want for sports. Cotton underwear holds sweat and it seems that would be really uncomfortable to have a tight compression short with wet underwear underneath.

It doesn't really get that wet.

I've wondered the same thing. My gf doubles up also. She says compression shorts are not underwear so insist on wearing cotton undies with compression shorts.

Who am I to argue with her?
