for people that have bags with the backpack straps on the bottom, how do you care for them?

everytime that you put the bag on the floor, the straps get dirty on the ground and the plastic adjustable pieces for the straps scrape on the floor.

seems like an odd design when the straps should be on the top to deter from all this wear and tear on them.

how do you care for your bag with the straps on the bottom?

    thanks

I set my bag down vertically (lean against the side of the bench/chair).

I hear you but my Pacific and Tecnifibre bags have straps on the top surface, so I do not have that issue. I would not buy a bag that has the straps on the bottom of the bag. BTW, the TF backpack system is still the best on the planet.

On my previous Head bag, the straps were on the back and like others I place my bags vertically or even hang it on a fence.

My current bag is a Babolat bag and the straps are on the front - the bag is very nicely made but I find the straps to be in the way and sort of ruin the clean look of the bag. Def first world problem.

Is this what you kids are calling it these days?
    Kidding.
I am a top. i mean, i'm straight, so what do i know about luggage?
    Lol.

I think it's planned obsolescence. Planned wear and tear.
I prefer the strap at the top. But unless we are on clay, it really does not matter.
