had my racquet strung by an amateur...on vacation...options limited. i won't be able to hit with it until my match tonight, are there any simple ways to test if it was strung at its proper tension?

my brother said he thought the strings felt loose. just banging the strings with my hand doesn't tell me much.

Assuming you don't have a tension meter (which are cheap, easy to use, and will give you a baseline to compare any string job you get), I'd say the only way to see if the tension is what you wanted is to go hit with it. And that is assuming you had the same strings strung at the same tension in the same racquet.
