Hmm....That was my only issue with the Rad also. Not enough spin to suit my game. I'm thinking the Instict would be close to what you want. A Rad with more spin would be a godly racquet if done right.

Ahh^ Danman I think you hit the spot. Nice control, some of the PDs Power, some of the APDs spin, and the PDC's control. I ordered a demo of the Pure Storm, but it took forever and I ended up getting the PD(one of the other two that showed up).

Yeah the 18x20 pattern even though it is in the 98 head just didn't give enough spin. I should have tried thiner strings at some point, I'm sure that would have helped. Did you try that?

Instead I put in Poly and although I got some bite and some power when hitting hard I just couldn't get enough spin! Aslo blocking against hard hitters was usually disasterous.

i wish they made a radical with a 16x19 pattern. it would be the perfect racquet.

they did, LM radical tour, and Flexpoint radical tour. Both are at least 12 oz, but have 16/19 pattern. For something of similar weight to the rad, check out the wilson prostaff tour 95.

LM Rad Tour is still 18x20

Dunlop Mfil 300 sounds the closest because its the same price too.

the LM radical tour had an 18x20 pattern....only the flexpoint radical tour has a 16x19.

the tour 95 does give a lot of spin...but it needs some lead. also give the mfil300 a try.

Racquets that I have hit with and likes that are close to the LM rad with more spin would be the

    O3 White
    Pure Storm
    M-fil 300
    Fischer Magnetic Tour
(and perhaps the Magnetic Speed Light judging by the specs only).

Keep your eye out for a demo of the Prince Air Freak. I had a pair of LM Radicals for a bit, but I'm hooked of heavier frames. The specs on the Feak don't tell much; it's an easy racquet to hit, much like the LM Radical, but it has a more open pattern and I think I could do more with the Prince if I had to choose one over the other. Try it before you dismiss it!

M-fil 300, a frame oft compared to the LM Rad.

i hate the air freak. i don't like many prince racquets. the only one would probably be the triple threat warrior or the o3 tour. only good prince racquets i believe. i have an old prince that i bought from academy for $50 110 head size and 16x19. gives some massive spin. but i don't use that anymore. the lm radical is good but it just makes you hit more flat rather than with spin. i plan to try new strings to see what gives it good spin possibility

The only good current Prince racquets are the POGs.
