Can you use racquet ball strings to string tennis racquets?
Yes you can.
is it just like a normal tennis string?
Sure, you can. It's very rare to see. It's quite common to see "tennis strings" used for racquetball. For some years now, I use only tennis strings for racquetball frames.
Some of the racquetball strings I have used for tennis usually ended up being very soft and elastic but broke pretty fast. I don't think they are meant to be as durable since they don't seem to have the same type of coating.
Eh really? how does such a thick string fit through your frame?
I strung my racquetball frame with Gosen 15L tennis string. Didn't have any problems...
Tennis strings and racquetball string gauges overlap. I have some very hard hitting racquetball player customers, and 15L keeps them going.
HOWEVER, E-Force's new Super 30 has 4 rows of holes in the butt and they have decreased the diameter of them so that 15L doesn't fit. E-Force likes 17 ga. strings. I have customers who play with them for a month before breaking. They are good players and $ are not the issue; they want longer string life/less hassle.
Oh I was thicking of badmitton, ahah.
