Just thought I'd see what color you prefer for your racquet, supposing you could get your favorite racquet custom painted.

I agree, that would be ideal. Maybe on a Weed racquet... (Sorry, I figured I'd write it myself, before anyone else does. Please note that I in no way promote the use of illegal substances or support its status in rastafarianism.)

I think I would get a Bob Marley racquet if they made one. That would be the pimpest racquet ever!

Poll results once again reflecting how in-touch racquet "marketing experts" are with the tennis-playing community.

All this technicolor bull####, and *more than 50%* (at the time of this post) of us prefer black to the entire rainbow of other possibilities. If it were a softball game, they'd call it for the mercy rule.

Interesting half of the people chose black. Look around and I see very few black racquets. Either the racquet makes don't know what they're doing or the sample of people here is highly skewed. I think it's the latter.

I like multiple colors on my racquet. The Ti series from Head a few years ago which had two colors fading into each other were pretty cool. In general Wilson has the boldest coloring on their sticks and I like most of them. Many people here can't stand the bright yellow-red-black on the HPS Surge 5.1. I thought it's really cool design, kinda like a coral snake :)

I would definitely not want my racquet in black. Don't need to be that dull to feel macho.

I agree with Danni, the N4 has a really nice blue. I also like the T5(red and silver or white, can't remember which). So I guess my answer would be either blue or red.

maybe a liquidmetal prestige or liquidmetal radical paintjob without the lm ridge (but still lm color), having 3 & 9 o'clock same paint and color as throat, and having the 12 o'clock part be the same color / paint as the throat

or the wilson pro staff original 85

I think the Prince More Control is the best looking racquet ever made. Half black, half white. Can't beat it.

My white Vantages look great. The TT Warrior also featured white. I think matte white looks good.

Metallic Burgundy, Matte Black (Prestige Classic, PS 6.0). Not a big fan of those two tone paintjobs, prefer solid colors.

The most conservative racquet paintjobs are those frames that have withstood the test of time (PS 6.0, PC, POG, RD-7), all darker "warm" colors, with no white.

Dino, good place for a focus group....what racquet company do you work for?

    Hi lacoster,
I'm a tennis coach, and do have a contract with Volkl. However, and unfortunately, I have no input in racquet design at all...

    Hi Dino,

It is possible to get shiny chrome. Just get yourself a couple of cans of chrome spray and that'll do the job. You can even get your racket in shiny gold if you wish.

Of course, you'll need to prime the surface well before spraying ... and that's dangerous to your racket if you accidentally goof.

Actually I was thinking about painting my Tour 90 but, on second thought, why screw up a good racket?

Fuzzless, my Head Trisys 150 has a brown metalflake finish. Have a purple metallflake Ultra that is too sweet.

I do not care what color is my racket. But why no company use some really reflective color so the opponent has hard time seeing because of sunlight reflection, or use the color of the tennis ball so it is difficult for the opponent to see the ball leaving the racket.
