First of all, he may have played 5 setters but HE LOST the second one. What's he supposed to do? Retire rather than finish the match?
Secondly, his schedule was set months ago. Like you said, he's nearly 32 years old and needs to plan his schedule properly if he's going to play for many more years as he's said he wants to.

What's Nadal supposed to do to prove he isn't a doper? Lose to Federer at the majors?

    EIGHT - two

That's the best you can do? 8-2 just reinforces the doping argument further. If Federer was doping the H2H wouldn't look like that would it? Or are you saying a doping Federer can't beat a clean Nadal? Wow he must really have some bad dope.

Lol, it'd be the only way probably. We all know why these bitter people keep accusing him of doping.

Can we stop with the doping accusations already? I bet there's an entire page's worth of Nadal doping threads already.

Let's get back to the topic at hand: Nadal being a baby and crying rivers left and right.

It's just more fun. Cause with the allegation stuff, it's all speculation.

But with the whining and b!tching, we know it's there, we can refer to it, and then we can LOL at it.

    Right?

He's playing Indian Wells right? I'm sure we'll get more complaints from him once he gets onto a hard court. It must be like walking on fire for him.

So, all I needed to do was google Rafael Nadal and I found another complaint. LOL. Now it's the balls.

"Rafael Nadal wins opening match at Brazil Open to reach last eight but attacks ATP Tour for choice of balls"

Nadal: "It was an important victory for me," Nadal said. "the conditions are very difficult. The court is very fast, the ball too.
"The problem is not the court. The problem is the ball which is very bad," he added. "It's the fault of the ATP for allowing play with a (tennis) ball of poor quality. The ATP does not have the capacity or the infrastructure to be able to analyze the conditions before the tournament begins", he added.

and I thought infrastructure was a pretty big word coming from him and his limited English. No doubt Uncle Toni put him up to it.

so... so far the conspiracy involves: ATP, balls, lines, court surface (clay or hard), altitude, umpires, frying pans, bananas, etc.
    what's next ?

did he already complain about the net posts ?
i think they're probably the next on the list ! :)

How am I knocking him down? He isn't exactly proficient in English. I'm saying this probably means Uncle Toni put him up to it and told him what to say because he probably would never say "infrastructure". I actually feel sorry for Nadal. I don't hate him as a person, only as a player.:) I think Uncle Toni pulls the strings here and it actually makes me feel sorry for Rafffa because since he was a child he's been under this man's control. Sad really.

Oh come on clarky, even you have to admit rafa has bytched and moaned the past 2 years than he did the entirety of his career from 05-2010.

Its like every other time he opens his mouth is to complain about something.

How like your role model Ann Coulter: nothing but bluster and b.s.

You provide two links that refer to the same source: Fabio Fognini's coach.

    One, he's not a player

Two, you used the plural, meaning there was more than one. And yet you have failed to substantiate this.

If someone else had made stupid errors like this, you's be calling them "pathetic".

Pretty lame thread by the way.

The only reason this has made it to 5 pages is because posters keep complaining about Nadal, maybe get new hobbies instead of writing constantly about someone you hate.

It has been said multiple/countless/a zillion times that other players have complained about the courts and balls as well. It doesn't matter if it's a 250 tournament, having safe courts and good quality balls should be the standard and not a privilege reserved for slams.

    here's a tweet mentioning: http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2013...ao-paulo-court-conditions/46443/#.UR-xTFpwb10

and a few days ago, Nadal complained about the court:
    http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2013...courts-bad-players-health/46411/#.UR-0BFpwb10

More mentioning of other players complaining here - plus a change in Nadal's complaints:
While other players have been complaining about the condition of the court at Sao Paulo's Ibirapuera gymnasium, Nadal said the problem lies elsewhere.

"The problem is not the court. The problem is the ball which is very bad," he told a post-match press conference.
    http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_sports/view/1254549/1/.html

Funny how the court was dangerous just a few days ago, and now the problem is not the court.

yes these are all about Nadal complaining but I was asking where the zillion complaints are from the other players that Rocky89 talks about. There isn't one quote or actual named player complaining about the courts and balls. All I hear is **crickets**.

Here he is complaining to the umpire Carlos Bernardes after the final because he was given a time warning during the match. He's bullied Bernardes before. This is nothing new.

It looks to me like Nadal didn't like Bernardes' response, as he pulled a face as he turned away. Totally out of order to berate the umpire like that.

How anyone can say Nadal is humble, completely baffles me. He has become an arrogant prima donna, dismissing the rules as if they don't apply to him.

He didn't berate the umpire. He complained because he didn't agree about something. And then discussed the issue again briefly when they shaked hands.

There's a certain other top player who actually has behaved in an inappropriate way with umpires.

The "something" was the time warning. Do you honestly think Bernardes would have given him a warning if he hadn't been time wasting? Nadal just hates being warned. Just wait until he infringes a second time and loses his first serve. This will happen, I guarantee it.

Considering he's supposed to be so fit, why is it that he needs more time than other players between points? Why is it that be breaks the rules by taking longer than he should?

Because he has no respect for the rules, if they don't suit him. He's a disgrace to the game.

    Geez calm down.

I don't think this has anything to do with fitness, when he received the violation it was obvious he was signalling that his face was dripping with sweat and he wasn't getting enough time to wipe it down. Did you watch the match? he was sweating like a tap.

Hardly disrespecting the rules or disgracing the game. He isn't the thug you are painting him to be.

    There is more to it.

When a player breaks the rules and goes unpunished, he gains ground on the players, that respect them.

I genuinely believe, that, if need be, **** can play with the new rules. However, the mental edge from such a thing will be gone.
