.....................................:) Clearly whoever designs Rafa's outfit is not a Rafa fan and his mission is to make Rafa look like a clown while he's the number one. :)

Seriously, Rafa looked great in his sleeveless shirts and pirate pants. Lets leave the polos for federer, shall we?

Looks pretty bad to me, he should just wear his 08 Roland Garros outfit all the time. That one was sweet.

It's true that Rafa at home wears a lot of bright and sometimes strange colors, but if that's what they're trying to incorporate in this new horrid styles then....do it better! [IMG] So boys can still have the Saleps, Ana's and Kirilenko's to goggle at the girls the clownless looking men, no?:(

That's gonna get taken down in like ten seconds, but yeah, the stuff that's coming out in Jan 2010 is pretty hideous.

It is photoshopped, because these clothes haven't been produced yet or worn by the pros. This picture is from a Nike retailer website to give a (badly done) look at how these clothes will look on their athletes.

    Nadal's outfit is... hmm.

    Serena's looks nice, though.

If you want to look proper and show respect for past champions then you wear polos. Look at a guy like Federer, he wears them as well as anyone. Tennis should be classy and a game of sportsmanship. I dont want to see Nadal looking like a barbarian that Nike did . Shame on you NIKE.

Seriously, I think it looks alright. But the pink bandana and arm band!!
Come on Nadal, put on another colour. Maybe a blue or black.
Tee and Shorts and Ballistecs 2.3 look good though!

The one on Williams looks nice....but Nadal's....what have they turned him into? His old look was fine, I usually buy tennis polo's but I've preferred Federer's to whatever they are giving Nadal, and they have to add a shirt pocket on Nadal's for what reason?

Poor Rafa getting worse and worse polos by the day. Though the Pink will be the all-time low as well as his results at RG. :(

Rafa looked good in orange at the USO 08, the polo that he was meant to wear was good.

I agree with this. Pink color sucks out the strength from real men.

For the new outfit, orange is OK, but those shorts and pink got to go.

+1 I always thought it looked immature until he changed it, than it looked stupid and he immediately seemed cool wearing sleeveless..

How arrogant of you to ASSUME that Rafa is no. 1 at the Australian Open 2010!!!

    Rafa using John Daley's Stylist?

I wonder if the same guy that dresses golfer John Daley has had a hand in this?

that it will look somewhat like that, and that nobody likes how it looks?

I loved Nadal's pirate look. I wish he hadn't change. His previous style brought a twist to tennis. Don't know how to explain. Haha.

Serenas looks nice and simple, but wtf are they trying to do rafa?? His AO outfit this year was great, but these loud and bright colors they keep coming out with are a joke.

Not sure you should be bragging on this board about wearing pajamas....

You're under the mistaken impression that it's about looking good. Last time I looked Nike was in the business of selling stuff. I don't think sleeveless was selling that well - I know I didn't see many (any?) people at the courts wearing any of Rafa's previous shirts. And with Fed's decline last yr Nike may have thought it was time for a passing of the torch.

I don't think that shirt is that bad. The shorts, though, were obviously designed by Stevie Wonder...

PS - babette, thanks for the pic...

I'm just going to go ahead and say it.

Orange clashes with Rafa's tan. He looks like he was tossed in a nuclear powerplant without protective gear, then left to burn in the Sun for a prolonged period of time.

Someone ought to write to Nike and stop this travesty.
