    Two things:
    - Everybody is entitled to his opinion and he can wear whatever he wants, but IMO, it is a No, no, no, no.
    - Second, does he have wrist problems now or is it just to match his knees's tape?

It's very a cheerful attire, plus he is free to wear whatever he likes.

The only person that could get away with wearing that outfit is Rafa.......I hope I don't see anyone on my local courts wearing it.

Maybe he always has his wrists taped, only we don't see it because he's wearing wrist bands?

ha ha..those shorts are crazy! they look like swim trunks..which by the sounds of how hot it is there wouldn't be a bad idea to just drench them in cold water..

I heard 2nd hand from a Nike rep that Nads was canning the wife beater, ehhhh....domestic abuser tunic (sorry Fee), and the clam diggers were inching up.

I think what he's wearing in that picture is a marked improvement. OK...it rocks!

I really would like to see him in shirts with sleeves again and some 'normal' shorts. Let's hope that rep was right.

He doesn't usually tape his wrists in matches as is apparent when he takes wrist bands off post match and throws them into the crowd.

nadal is wearing li ning, the brand that ivan ljubicic is sponsored by. bjorkman has also been wearing li ning in the practice days leading into the olympics. i think the tournament is just providing them with clothes for the moment.

They match his bandana and tapes. It's good to add colour tho the game, we don't want boring outfits all the time.

Are you talking about the picture on the OP?, If so, then the nike logo on the shorts confused all of us.

Looks kind of tacky to me. The orange in the shirt does not match in the shorts, and none of the colors in the shorts or the shirt are carried through in the headband or the shoes. Nothing goes with each other. I agree flamboyant is good, and that works especially well for Rafa, but I dont like this combination at all. His knee tape would also look better if he got it in the light brown color of his shorts.

Now granted: its practice. He's just wearing what he was given to bang around in.

Also, to the person who said they were wristbands: its tape. Clearly you can see that the tape is flush to his skin, ie no thickness you'd normally see from a wristband. Also, Rafa usually wears the doublewides. Probably he tapes them for support underneath his wristbands normally, but just doesnt have wristbands on today.

It's tape, look at his right hand.
