You don't have to be Kreskin to predict the rest of Nadal's career.
Unlikely Rafa will anything off of clay that is of any measurable significance. Returning to #1 is even further fetched than him winning 3 slams.
I am trying hard to be positive because I actually miss Rafa and I would love him to return. I really am trying to see light at the end of this tunnel.
I get what you're saying,but it's not reality.
This is getting too much again.
No Ralphie, you'll shoot your eye out.
I don't think you understood. I think 40% chance Rafa wins *exactly* one slam and no more. Chance of Rafa winning *at least* one slam I put at (40%+25%+9%+1%) = 75%.
BTW 90% chance at FO is much too high considering he has yet to come back, will be rusty, and who knows the health his knees will be at. If you really believe that then you should bet the house on it and put your money where your mouth is, since the bookies will only be giving him 50% chance or thereabouts and so you will be getting great odds.
Exactly! He has changed his name to Mr Pokerstars!
Neither did Nadal.
Rafa is done with tennis. Doing Pokerstars full time. So I hope all his fans will follow his new pokerstars career! Such talent needed for his new job!
Thanks for that Clarky. You've been through quite an ordeal the last 8 years, having to watch Nadal win slams. Unfortunately for you, Nadal is about to break the record, his 9th straight slam-winning year will be 2013.
Sorry to inform you Bullzilla, but I am not Ms. Nadal, and only have one account on here. I don't need to have 100 different accounts on here the way you do. One is quite enough, thanks.
Not even good, ol', sexi Rogi ?
Com'on, you gotta be kidding me. Good old Rogi is ready to turn the tables about with the H2H, ain't it ?And spank Rafa 'til he cries ........
Nadal wins a lousy 500 against a mug version of Ferrer and people are thinking he's going to mop up the slams this year? You don't really believe that at all.
I give up, Nadal to go undefeated for rest of the season
Clarky, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Nadal has FO in the bag already, you know it, I know it, everybody knows it.
The question is whether he'll win Wimbledon or USO (or both) as well, I think we all have to agree that's very likely.
With no points conceded.
Nice jinx attempt guys. Will work!
Very likely ????
Some trolling on here,
An apt thread bump,sb. It's hard to see past Ralph for atleast RG and Wimby. As expected, he's come storming back ,his bizarre loss to Zeb notwithstanding.
Certainly on the red dirt, the Nadal looks unstoppable.
I don't see he being successful on hardcourts and grass with this Djokovic playing.
Nadal will be lucky if he can win Monte Carlo, Rome and RG. I would think he wins 2/3 of those. Wimby, USO, US Summer 1000s probably will be very difficult for him.
Yeah i think he takes Roland garros and wimby easily , federer and djokovic battle it out and rafa will be waiting to defeat the mug who got through , and uso i think would be a hit or miss, so 2/3 slams this year sure
He'll probably win the FO, a big chance for Wimbledon.
All I can say is that I hope he wins at least one. 9 years in a row winning slams would be a fantastic absolute record.
The *******s will talk it down, just like most of Rafa's other records.
Are you competing with Clarky as far as anti jinxing witchcraft is concerned.........
Are people serious ??
RG and Wimby EASILY ???
why cos he beat Ferrer in a peanut butter competition ?
THe guy is a disgrace to tennis and a cheat, pretending his injured and
being an absolute scumbag on the court.
This thread has the potential to be the GOAT thread. Note that at the time this was created , most of the gullible and naive actually believed Nadal was on a break due to a career threatening injury and will never play tennis again, let alone win tournaments
Yes, right. Nadal could be on his way to making the greatest comeback ever in #worldhistory ;-)
yes in mixed double he will win CYGS 2013
The clay season hasn't even begun and Ralph's already looking unstoppable, what does this man eat?
This is shaping into 2010 and Ralph is a lock for RG and Wimby atleast.
In all honesty, while I would love for him to add another Wimbledon title, I want him to get one more US Open along w/a French Open this year
Bookmakers say Djokovic is the 1st favorite to win Wimbledon http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/mens/mens-wimbledon/winner
It is way too early to judge that.
I wouldn't mind another Wimby 2011 tbh,I think it would be good for tennis.
Is that a fact?
There is a reason people make money off bookmakers.
who is Ralph ? are you talking about ANdy Murray ?
No, I'm talking about Murray's hero, Dr Fedace.
Nobody is perfect, and neither bookmakers are. Anyway, answer this question:
Who makes more accurate probability estimates than bookmakers?
Paul the Octopus
Granted the post is a bit old...but there is no reckoning with the Spanish Armada even in 2013. Not sure Rafa will a Slam this year with Kukjo in the way, but they still remain a solid group of contenders for any titles.
u forgot to mention that he will win CYGS in men/mixed doubles this year
10 chars ........
No one would be happier than me if Ralph wins the next 3 slams, other than maybe Clarky.
If he wins the next 3, then he is of course a lock for the next FO, so he basically wins the next FIVE.
Now, he'll carry that momentum into the rest of the next year, and be a lock for the next FO, so ... I really don't know where he will stop.
fookin paul yooooooooooooo, the smartest invertebrate ever, but seriously bookmakers do not at this point know is going to be in form for tournaments in the future, its impossible
Separate names with a comma.
