Didn't really know where to post this..
Does anybody know what the rankings for the players will be after this week? I know Federer moves up to 3, and Murray back down to 4. Does Tsonga move to 5 after making the finals/title? Anybody else?

I think Tsonga has to win to get 5

If Tsonga loses he will gain 800 and 3,535+800=4,335
    If he wins, then 3,535+1,300=4,835
    Ferrer will have 4,480+400=4,880
So looks like Tsonga can't finish #5

What I find strange is points for last year's WTF are not counted, and tournament isn't over yet. I thought players had points counted for the last 12 months. Does anybody know if there was a change in point calculations?

WTF points always drop out the week before the tournament. That way the official ranking matches the YTD ranking (which decides who qualifies for the WTF)

Wouldn't Nadal lose points for not making it past round robin this year? Or did you already figure that into there?

Any way Fed could be #2 for AO? What does he need to win for that to happen?

no, he couldn't. He can only defend Doha. However, If Nadal loses in Round 1 of AO, and Fed wins it. He will be no. 2. Not likely though.

But I think I looked before Basel and Fed had around 6K points, so it was more than a week before WTF...

All the points from last year's WTF already dropped off before the tournament started so as to make it strictly what was achieved in this year only.
