I'm sorry if this has been covered many different times.

But, what is the difference between eligible vs ineligible ratings?

Is it because one is not a part of a team, therefore he is not eligible?

I see a rating for myself under ineligible but that's it. Perhaps I haven't played in enough tournaments to be eligible?

I play in the Missouri Valley region if that matters.

    Thanks for the help.

In a USTA tournament context eligible vs. ineligible has to do with whether your ranking points count based on your location relative to the ranking location. (i.e. district or section).

Example... If I play a tournament in Georgia, I will earn Georgia ranking points. But, since I am a Florida resident I am ineligible to be ranked in Georgia. They keep an ineligible list for seeding purposes.
