I highly doubt that...seeing as there's nothing else very special about it

Did you buy it in Singapore?

I know Yonex puts country codes on the side of their frames after the engraved serial numbers, such as "123456US" or "123456JP", for U.S. and Japan, respectively. This is to indicate which market the frame is distributed to, perhaps for warranty purposes or perhaps the specs are slightly different for each country? Not really sure why. Maybe they started putting the country codes in larger font on the throat as well? Just a guess.

south pacific. this same issue was raised by dennis chan, do a search and you will see that these racquets were meant for distribution in that region of the world. nothing special about them or fake either.

  6. might we have another "bargain shopper" using an auction site and then getting disappointed when it is not the same as found on TW?

I guess this is partly due to the dumb MAP policies of racquet companies... it will allow auction sites to make a lot of sales from importers taking stock from where the dollar is strong, or where grey market or fakes are produced cheaply.

good luck with you SP version... just say it has the EXACT string spacing as Hewitt and you might be able to sell it for 5x in the classifieds! (j/k... making fun of federer asian version sticks)

nope. Bought it legitimately from a well respected and authorised dealer. Yeah, I just searched it, it's just a distribution codes.

    Thanks for all your input.
