Similar specs but the 003 is supposed to be much more head light, a tad stiffer and a 1/4 inch shorter.

Anybody compare the two? I like the NSRQ-7 a lot but the extra length does seem cumbersome on some shots. Would 1/4 inch less make a big difference in maneuverability at net?

Also, is it possible to effectively cut off 1/4 to 1/2 inch of NSRQ-7 at bottom and not lose the playability or balance of the racket?

Its possible to cut off 1/4 inch from the handle of the racquet. You can adjust the balance with lead tape inside the handle. It'll require about 5 grams of lead tape.

I think the NSRQ-7 is a better racquet than RDS003.

Bora, can you contrast the two rackets in detail. I am going to playtest the RDS 003 this week. I tried the NSRQ 7 last week and liked it except it felt a little too light. It was a quality racket though.

rasta, I posted about this in detail before, please do a search. Basicly, the RDS003 is stiffer and has a muted feel. Its still a good racquet and a big improvement over the RDX300, but I am not a fan of stiff or muted racquets.

The only problem I had with the NSRQ 7 was that it was too light to produce a heavy ball. It had good control and touch.
