Hi, fellow tennis lovers. Recommend me some good tennis
books in 3 departments: mental game, stroke techniques and
conditioning. What are the best books ?

    1. Mental game: I know Winning Ugly and something like
"Inner game of tennis game..". Any other good books ?

    2. Stroke techniques: I wouldn't need basic books.
I would prefer something I can get some insights.
I spotted "Serious Tennis" but I'm not sure.
I think some highly theoretical book might help
something like "Physics and dynamics of tennis ????"

    3. Conditioning: Some good books on weight and fitness
    training for tennis ???

    Thanks,
    FD

Those are pretty much the New and Old Testaments of tennis. You've got to read those if you're serious about tennis; I think it's a rule on here or something...

For technique, take some lessons. It's hard to take something you read and try to incorporate it into your game without going through that process of personal evolution. But, I would recommend a membership to tennisone.com, they have a lot of articles, videos, and so on that can really help. Being able to see it put into action really helps to pick it up.

I don't know what's out there as far as tennis fitness books go; I wouldn't think there are too many. Tennis Magazine usually has some fitness drills to do, it's just that I don't think many people care about them, but I still think that they are good, at least from time to time.

Vic Braden's Tennis for The Future (Still very interesting reading)
Oscar Wegners book (SOME good reading tho basic at times)
Bollettieri's Tennis Handbook (Lots of reading and some real gems amongst it)
Vic Braden's Quick Fixes (I found some great stuff in this, very enjoyable)
World Class Tennis Technique (A bit inconsistent but some good reading)

A lot of the above have their good and bad points but ALL have some great moments.

"Complete Conditioning for Tennis" is quite good.

I posted these books under the Mental Tennis post and they also apply as good tennis books : Inner Tennis by Tim Gallwey, The Mental Game by Jaems Loehr, Zen Tennis by Paul Multimer, Tennis: The mind game by Marlin Mackenzie, Tennis by Machiavelli as tranlated by Simon Ramo. These are all classic mental books that should change your game and maybe your life
