reducing string vibrations

    are there any other ways to reduce the ping sound other than using a vibration dampner....leather power pads...'rubber' power pads???

    A rubberband. They aren't vibration dampeners. :)
    Definition: a narrow, circular or oblong band of rubber, used for holding things together, as papers or a box and its lid.

    You could use a string that doesn't vibrate much.

    Try a titanium-coated string such as Babolat's Conquest Ti.
