Any opinions? Is applying strips of 1/4 inch lead tape better than using one of the gamma or unique swing weights?

Swing weights are much better for slice and overheads.

Hey, swing weights are good for short term experimentation; because the glue in them is not very strong.

Also because of their design, you can't stack them like lead - so the amount you can add is restricted.

I was thinking of putting one swing weight on each side of my POG mid head at the 3 and 9. That would give me 6 grams total and hopefully keep it mostly headlight. It's been suggested that some electrical tape be used to keep them down, how's that sound?
