I now use volkl v dry overgrips. They are the best overgrip for heavy sweating.
These are amazing. So absorbent and both sides are precut, really simple to install during a changeover if needed.
I was wondering how much a leather grip can contribute to hand pain. I did a few things at the same time so my baseline is off. I've never really had an issue with leather before, but just curious if it does contribute. Never had this issue actually, I was waking up with a few numb fingers.
My gut says it's a combo of B and C but curious if some of it is from the leather.
Changes all at once:
A: Went from my trusty Duel G 310 to the Pacific BXT Pro Tour 97, which felt like it was absorbing more vibrations, but is def the 67 RA vs the Duel's 64. Sold it almost right away because of the sore hand, but also too stiff to really hit over my OHBH and kick out second serves the way I can with the Duel.
B: I started using KB Pro Line X 1.25 as my cross instead of TF Multifeel. These are quite stiff but also very slick and allowed the BH Silver Rough mains to snapback really well. I could swing for the fences.
C: The weather was perfect for a week so played a ton. Two days in a row of hard hitting sessions that went 3.5 hours and a couple more two-hour sessions.
D: Switched to a leather grip from Skinfeel (not sure it is THAT different).
