I am sure a few of you have this e-mail. Got mine a few days ago.

    Hello 361nation Members:

First of all, thank you for your incredible contributions to 361nation! You have started something special, become founding members of an important tennis community and in the process have helped to launch the hottest and most ferocious string in the industry – BEAST XP from Prince, the world’s first Thermo-Poly.

Now, we need your feedback on the next product - BEAST XP 17. Some of you received the 17 gauge string as part of the original seeding program. We are currently in the process of finalizing the formula for BEAST XP 17 and need to confirm it with our core nation members.

Enjoy.. to all that get the call!!!

    Steve

    The better one wins..

Interesting. I replied to to that email but I haven't gotten my set yet.

EDIT: Got my set today! Blue dot. I'll be interested to see how it plays and if there is any big difference between this one and the unbranded string form the fall.

    Got mine today

I also got my 17g Beast XP to playtest today. Signed up at the website after getting the e-mail. I really liked the 16g so hope the 17g is good too!

I got a both! A set with a blue sticker, and another with yellow.

    What's the difference?

I only got a yellow dot. Haven't strung it up yet, but I'm assuming they're manufactured differently.

Stating from what SteveI said, it may be different formulas. Interesting how they want to further the final product even though they already released it!

But still! I can't turn down free strings! I got 6 sets of these so far free from Prince!

Head's up guys! Just from touch, the yellow dot is softer. But we'll see how it is after stringing.

The dot is softer? What about the string? ;)

I suggest we don't discuss our finding in order to prevent bias from other testers.

Ehh, didn't word it correctly. xD
But yea, the strings that have a yellow dot on the package are softer than the blue dotted sets. So those with yellow, enjoy!

I would like to know how quickly you guys break it. The original 17g I used was breaking way too quickly.

I just got my set of 17 guage today! I replied to the email fairly late too!! I'm gonna string it up soon in a few days at a lower tension and see how it plays :) I love thin strings so it should be a pretty fun test. I might end up making a video, but I doubt it will be creative enough to get 5 free sets, but what the heck might as well try ;)

I don't have a yellow dot/blue dot but have some 17g Beast XP and tested it out the other day. Normally don't play with 17g but have about 4 hours on it and still holding tension/playability

I got the blue dot one. Very poor powered string. I had to really hit out to get depth with it especially with spin. Even hitting flat it didn't get a lot of depth as I get with other strings. Just my opinion.
