    Hello,
I'd like to know if the main strings in the Intellistring/Intellitour hybrid aka RIP Tour/Power are basically RIP Control in slightly different gauges?

They are built similarly (based on their descriptions).

If we compare their stiffness and tension loss they are also very similar.
    Head Intellitour 17 (Main) Nylon / Polyolefin 1.30 177 10.87
    Head RIP Control 17 Nylon / Polyolefin 1.28 178 10.25
    Head Intellistring 16/17 (Main) Nylon / Polyolefin 1.32 178 10.91
    Head Intellitour 16 (Main) Nylon / Polyolefin 1.37 181 11.51
    Head RIP Control 16 Nylon / Polyolefin 1.38 184 11.02

    Hi Automatix,

We will try to get the answer from Head. But yes, like RIP Control the mains have a core of thin polyamide fibers wrapped in polyolefin ribbons. Even if they are not identical, the negligible difference in specs are within the margin of error, so you can probably get away with the assumption that they are functional equivalents.

    Thanks,
    Jon

    Thank you very much Jon.

I have to say I'm interested in the potential answer from Head.
Will keep an eye on this thread.

    Thanks again!

Sorry to bump this but any chance you received an answer from Head?
