I currently own the Spri resistance bands which are very similar to those. Pretty much can do the same thing with them as those ripcords. Basically I use them just to warm up before a match or a "pre-workout" workout. They're just mainly used for toning up the muscles and I think they work great. Easy exercises and doesn't take much time at all. Also, theyre great for physical therapy if you just suffered an injury. My doctor asked me if i have resistance bands and he was surprised i did. theyre useful for those kinda things, just gotta ask for the types of exercises. I say they're worth it if you're looking for something to warmup your muscles with, tone up, or physical therapy.

Yeah I need something for my shoulders... however the Ripcord website claimed that the entire set can be used to bulk up (which I would like).

Just not sure if it's as easy to use as it's claimed...

How much did you pay for your Spri resistent bands and do you anchor them onto something?

Well I just bought the "Spri Advanced Traveling Trainer" for about 35 bucks. It comes with light, medium, and heavy levels and comes in a nifty little bag. It also comes with a doorhook so you can easily harness it. There are a number of exercises for both using the door hook and just yourself. And as for bulking up, I guess it can work if you do it long enough. But really any resistance training is meant for toning. It's best to do some weight training along with these bands as a warmup. I think that's gonna get you the best results.

Oh and one more thing, I think if you wanna bulk up you should primarily use the "heavy" cord. To tone it's the light cord. Maybe you can bulk up as well with the Spri then.

I have one of these in my bag, very good for a pre-warmup.
