After their epic French Open victories today, Federer and Djokovic will play each other for the 10 time in a Grand Slam. This ties McEnroe and Lendl for the most head to head matches in Grand Slams. Federer and Djokovic will have played in 1 fourth round, 8 semifinals, and 1 final. McEnroe and Lendl played in 1 4th round, 4 quarterfinals, 2 semifinals, and 3 finals.

Needs more slam finals meetings, for sure. Good rivalry, though. They bring out the best and the worst from each other.

Federer and Nadal also played 10 times at GS tournaments ( 2 SF, 8 Finals, amazing)

They can't play finals against each other, since the draws are always Fed-Djoke semis... They always give Nadal the easier semi, the only exception being AO2012, which turned out to be a harder semi for Djokovic anyway, since Murray actually showed up and played almost his best match in a slam.

Well Murray straight-setted Nadal at AO 2010 and also made AO Finals twice both that year and the following year. So it's not like Murray was an easy opponent. He's been a force at AO for some years now. He seems to do very well there.
Also, a teenage Murray took Nadal to 5 sets at AO 2007, even going up 2 sets to 1. So I'm not sure I'd say Murray is an easy draw on hardcourts.
I really do hope we get Federer and Nadal on the same side of the draw for Wimbledon though. It's been 4 years since they last met on grass. Although it's possible they could meet in Halle before Wimbledon since Nadal isn't playing Queens.

Unless Fed decides to take some additional time off between now and SW19, I very much expect to see them tilt in the Halle final.

And I will so have the popcorn ready for it. :)

One of the best matchups in tennis today for sure. But seriously I wish they never face each other at USO ever again.

The Fed-Djokovic rivalry has always been much more fun to watch for me. They bring out the best in each other usually, you see a plethora of amazing shots, and it really comes down to who plays the big points better.

Fed-Nadal has always been more difficult to watch, partly because Nadal neutralizes some of Fed's firepower. But that's why I guess Nadal has 10 Slams.

I wish their rivalry had coincided with their respective primes. Though Roger I'm certain would prevail at the USOpen almost always, their clashes at the Australian would have been a lot more even.

    ROGER vs. NOVAK

It's very difficult to explain what happened today, especially because I am a HUGE Federer Fan.

As much as I loved how ROGER showed mental strength to come back from 2 sets down to win in 5, even I have to agree that NOVAK stole the show today by saving these match points.

To me, honestly, he shouldn't be in this semi-final. I still can't believe that he saved those match points and went on to win.

I think in the semi-final it's going to be a HUGE MENTAL battle and brilliant ONSLAUGHT WAR of ATTRITION and I love the fact that 2 days off will allow that to happen.

All I want is that if ROGER gets to even 1 (even 1 little measle MATCH POINT), that he will TAKE it and FINALLY HAMMER the NAIL in the DJOKOVIC FOREHEAD (I mean Coffin, sorry)

But TENNIS GODS might disagree with me and Novak is a slight favourite. I just like that both Won tough 5 setters today which will give the belief and confidence as well as that "I am destined to win" feeling that they'll need to give another CLASSIC!

I am ready for it! I hope ROger will be ready too!
